1960's Floral Separates

I slipped on the silk Yves Saint Laurent set for the very first time, nervous the look wouldn’t fit, after having drowned in it as a daydreaming little girl. My sigh of joy was audible as the zipper went up with a smooth ease, almost as if the pieces were made for me.

I immediately felt like I was transformed into my beautiful Nana, my style icon, who sweetly let me borrow this look from her fashion archives. She moved to the US entirely on her own following WWII, eventually starting her own modeling agency in Boston while raising her two children with my sweet Pupa. Her stories of classic photoshoots, doing the makeup for high fashion editorials, and throwing smashing agency soirees, never cease to inspire me.

I only hope I can follow her lead throughout my own career, growing a flourishing company in an industry I love. This is the mentality I hope to bring to my blog. It’s my love of vintage fashion, and sustainable living that I’d like to bring to my readers and friends.
